Marie LouiseのVo&Gt・ワクによるソロプロジェクト、待望の1st作品が入荷！
作詞・作曲・編曲・アートワークまですべて本人が手がけ、
自宅で録音されたというベッドルーム作品。
MIXとマスタリングはMarie Louiseの西村創太が担当。
「無理をしないこと、自然体であることを大切に、音楽が持つ“人らしさ”を追求したアルバム」と語られている。
全体から感じるのは、まるでろうそく一本だけ灯した部屋で語りかけられているような、静かでしっとりとしたムード。
音数も少なく、リズムも最小限。だけど、Marie Louiseの作品と同様にこの人の歌には不思議な壮大さを感じさせる重み深みがあります。
ジャンルとしては、インディーフォーク／エレクトロ／アンビエント／R&Bの影響が少しずつ重なり合うような雰囲気で、
連想したのは青葉市子やclairo、Frank Oceanあたりでしょうか。
お気に入りは「August」。
アコースティックギターをつま弾く超シンプルな曲。
「どんなものも思い通りにならない。すべては移ろっていく──それでいい」と
そんな哲学を静かに語りかけてくるような一曲。
もしくはこの曲は自分自身に語りかけているのかも。
続く「September」も、R&B的なグルーヴ感のある歌メロとリズムがシンプルにお気に入り。
シンプルなのに、退屈じゃない。
音選びのセンスと、歌声の芯の強さがあるからだと思います！
これはぜひ、一人きりの夜、
ギターの音色や、歌詞の意味をじっくり考えながら、文庫本を読むみたいに聴きたい作品。
