1986年札幌で結成し、日本屈指のロックバンドとして君臨し続けたbloodthirsty butchersのコロムビア在籍時(2004-2005)の3タイトルをレコードの日に初アナログ化。

数々のレーベルを渡り歩いていたbloodthirsty butchersの日本コロムビア移籍第一弾アルバム。
そして、言わずもがな、bloodthirsty butchersが△から□へと変化をしてのオリジナルアルバム1枚目の作品。
1曲目に収録されている「JACK NICOLSON」で「このバンドで踏み込んでいたい、このバンドで存在していたい」という歌詞にもあるようにバンドと向き合った作品といえるであろう。
当時のバンドとしての意気込みは、楽曲以外にも「メンバー全員の手」と「赤」から構成されたジャケットからも感じられる。この「赤」の表現は、メンバー以外のカメラマン・デザイナーをも困難を強いられたアートワークとなっている。
メンバーのみならず、関わったクリエイター・スタッフのテンションが詰まっている「birdy」は、アナログとなったこの機会に改めて聴いてみて欲しい作品である。
