2024年結成、東京の4人組。
「ニューレトロでオルタナティブ」を掲げるバンド。

去年のシングル「手中」がすごく良くて気になっていました！
再生してすぐの男女混成のコーラスに渋谷系ギターポップを感じてやられてしまいました。

バンド名には「どっちつかずということはどっちにもなれるということだ。」
という思いがあるみたい。

「SUE + HAKU」は、
60年代モータウンを思わせるベースとタンバリンのイントロから始まる。
キャッチコピー通りのニューレトロな印象！
そのまま疾走するギターポップへ。

ワウを効かせたコミカルなギターフレーズが聴きどころ！


「枯葉」が個人的にお気に入り曲かも！

柔らかく優雅なボーカルとハンドクラップが心地いい、
ソフトロック、インディーポップなナンバー。

甘酸っぱい男女ボーカルといい、このバンドの音って、
親しみやすくて、どこか可愛らしい。

ただ、このバンドはそれだけじゃ終わらなくて、
歌詞には少しひねくれた不思議な違和感があると思う。

「SUE + HAKU」の「目が覚めたら全部全部を幸せが満たしますように
安っぽいラブアンドピースに中指立てて」とか、

「枯葉」の「私よりも生きづらそうな彼を見て安心してる」とか。

ポップサウンドの中に、
少し冷めた視線や歪んだ感情が混ざっている。スピッツとか近いのかな。
そのバランスが、このバンドの個性だと思う。

その（たぶん）意図的な違和感にこのバンドの「オルタナティブ」な部分を感じましたがどうだろうー。
