その中に、このバンドのCDも混ざっていた気がしてくる。



2023年に名古屋で結成された、20代前半の4人組。

まずジャケットがめちゃくちゃかっこいい。
90〜00年代エモ／ロック直系の空気をまとったデザインとバンドロゴ。
この時点でかなり好きだなー。

音もその期待を裏切らない！
エモの影響を感じさせつつの、ドライブ感のあるかなりストレートなロック。
高速で友達と車を走らせながら、爆音で流したら最高だろうな、と思う。

キラーチューンの「Sonic」では
スピード落とすの外して調整
スピード上げてこうぜ homie
と歌われる。

10代や20代の頃って、
自分がおじさんになることも、いつか終わりが来ることも、
現実味がなかった。
そんな若さ特有の無鉄砲さと勢いを、そのまま思い出させてくれる！

「Seas」は00sスタイルのエモ／ポップパンクを思わせる。
海で過ごした一日、言えなかった気持ちへの後悔。
ナードで甘酸っぱい歌詞もポップパンクって感じで良い！

影響源として、エモやオルタナティブロックだけでなく、
lil soft tennisやarryの名前を挙げているのも興味深い。
「breeze」のAメロにあるラップ調のフロウには、
確かにその影響がにじんでいる気がする。

今作の歌詞には海にまつわる言葉が何度も出てくる。
オーバーサイズの服でスケートしながら、
あるいはドライブしながら聴いてほしい！
90〜00年代アメリカの空気をまとった、新世代の登場だと思う。
