大山田大山脈の名で電子音楽界に名を馳せる安島夕貴が、シンガー・ソング・ライターとしてファーストアルバムをリリース。華やかに流れていくメロディとは裏腹に、作品に通底するグラムロック的な煌びやかなアレンジは、時にトイポップス的なごちゃごちゃ感に、時にエクスペリメンタル的なカオスに転じながら、彼女の芯にあるソングライティングへの愛を歪に証明していく。

宅録的な自由を存分に謳歌するなかで生み出された楽曲群は、デヴィッド・ボウイ、ザ・バンド、ビートルズ、ルー・リード、YMOといったレジェンドたちの影を自在にまといながら、「歴史の果てで繰り広げられるカラオケ大会」とでも呼びたくなる狂騒と熱情をその身に燃え上がらせる。

CD版は特殊紙ジャケット仕様。各曲のコード譜付き歌詞カード、水走幽雨によるライナー『内なる劇場からの通信』、未発表曲、カラオケver、デモ音源などをまとめた『ボーナス・トラックス』のDLコード、ステッカーが付属する。
